Pikmin
Nintendo
Adorable, wide-eyed little creatures getting killed in a variety of horrible ways
A launch title for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2001, Pikmin is a beautiful, pastoral glimpse into a world where nature WILL EVISCERATE YOU IF YOU LOOK AT IT FUNNY. Refreshing in its frank and harsh portrayal of an ecosystem, Captain Olimar becomes the leader of the small creatures at the bottom of the food chain known as Pikmin, thus proving that in capable hands, superior numbers always win out.
With some casualties, of course.
One of the first games I got for my Cube, I fell in love with Pikmin hard and have a lot of fondness for it and its sequel to this very day. Since Smash Bros. Brawl brought the spotlight back on Olimar and the Pikmin, who had fallen somewhat to the wayside over the years, I thought this might be a nice informative thing along the lines of the
EarthBound adventure into just who Olimar was, but also I just love this game to death and want to share it with people.
This screencap adventure is finished, and it's by Zarla.
